Vintage Victorian silver etched flower and bird picture brooch c1890s. A pretty silver brooch with etchings of a bird, bee and foliage decoration. The outer edge has a scalloped pattern and on the reverse the back can be removed to place a small photograph, this was originally for a lock of hair. These brooches were called victorian hair brooches. The brooch is silver but does not have a hallmark. This brooch measures 2.8cms in diameter and fastens with a pin and open c clasp and is excellent vintage condition.
